Economics models based on moral beliefs

Over in the New York Times op-ed pages, we find:  "On economic issues, a little knowledge of supply and demand can go a long way. But our beliefs have deeper foundations that are more subjective and personal — even primal. "  In other words: don't worry about evidence and logic when trying to understand how the world works; your moral beliefs about how you want the world to work are more important.
